Ready Ride

Ready Ride is an origin-to-destination service available primarily for Senior and Disabled passengers at a discounted rate, but is available for all passengers at a premium rate. All ready ride services and deviations are subject to approval due to distance and road conditions. We ask that you make reservations 24 hours in advance (up to one week in advance).

For a discounted rate, please fill out and mail us this Basin Transit Disability ID Card application, along with proof of disability (see application). This card is required for discounted fares for Ready Ride and fixed route service.

This service is available in the following areas of the Morongo Basin:

Yucca Valley:

Mon-Fri, 7:30am – 4:15pm

Morongo Valley:

Mon & Thurs, 8:00am – 12:00pm

Joshua Tree:

Mon-Fri, 7:30am – 3:00pm

Twentynine Palms:

Mon-Fri, 7:30am – 1:00pm

Wonder Valley:

Tues & Fri, 7:00am – 12:00pm

Landers*:

Mon-Fri, 7:00am – 5:00pm

* The Landers route will deviate from its normal route to pick up and drop off customers. This is by reservation only and is charged with an extra fare. Please call Customer Service at 1-800-794-6282 or 760-366-2395 if you wish to reserve this service.

Using Ready Ride is easy! When you call to request travel reservations (24 hours in advance), please be prepared with the following information:

  1. Your Name
  2. Day You Wish To Travel
  3. Your Destination
  4. Time Of Your Appointment
  5. Alternative Date And Time If Service Is Booked On Date You Wish

NOTE: There may be times when we cannot immediately confirm your reservation request at the time you call. In these situations, we will call you at least 12 hours prior to the time we scheduled your request.

General Information

Food & Drinks: To keep our buses clean, open food and drinks are not allowed on the bus. Travel mugs and sippy cups with tight-fitting, secure lids are OK.  No smoking is allowed, including electronic cigarettes.

Carry-on Items: No more than 6 packages up to 25 lbs each. Assistance is available for seniors and persons with disabilities on the Ready Ride service.

No Show Policy: If you are not at the agreed location once the driver arrives, the driver will inform the dispatcher and the dispatcher will call you to advise that the bus is waiting. If there is no response from you, the driver will wait five minutes past the pick-up time before departing.  This is considered a “No Show”.  Three (3) No Show’s in a 30-day period will result in a 30-day suspension from Ready Ride services and deviations.
