Basin Transit in partnership with the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA), will celebrate its riders and support the local community with a Rider Appreciation and Fill the Bus event on Saturday, November 22, from 8 AM to 6 PM at the Walmart Super Center in Yucca Valley.
The event combines appreciation for Basin Transit riders with a food drive benefiting the Way Station, a local organization serving the community. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations to help fill the bus and support neighbors in need.
“This event is our way of saying thank you to the riders who make Basin Transit such a vital part of our community,” said Cheri Holsclaw, General Manager. “By combining rider appreciation with support for the Way Station, we’re strengthening the bonds that make our community special.”
Event highlights include a prize wheel where every spin is a winner while supplies last. The family-friendly event, hosted in partnership with SBCTA, is open to all community members, whether they are regular transit riders or simply want to support a good cause.
The Way Station provides essential services to community members in need, and all food donations collected during the event will directly benefit their programs.
